Community & Moderation Policy

Photodex hosts private family archives and links shared with invited people or anyone holding a Public Link. The Acceptable Use Policy states what is prohibited. This Policy explains how concerns can be raised and handled, including concerns about a person named or depicted who does not have an Account.

1. Reporting

Use info@photodexapp.com to report a Photo, Album, label, invitation, Account or Public Link. Include the URL or Album details, what happened, why it is harmful or unlawful, and whether anyone faces immediate danger. You need not be the uploader or an Account holder to raise a concern. Do not download or forward suspected child sexual abuse material or intimate images as evidence; send the link and description instead. For immediate danger call the relevant emergency service. For copyright claims, see the Copyright and Takedown Policy; privacy claims can also go to info@photodexapp.com.

We will acknowledge a report and triage urgent safety or apparently illegal material promptly. We may ask for more details, examine the reported Content and related records, and contact the reporter, uploader or Owner where appropriate. We do not promise a fixed response time until a staffed, tested escalation procedure exists. Do not submit malicious or knowingly false reports.

2. Review and decisions

Private Content is not routinely manually reviewed. App administrators can technically access private Album records; a report, suspected illegal activity, security or safety issue, automated flag or lawful request may justify a proportionate review. We may temporarily restrict a Photo or Public Link while investigating; remove or disable material; limit invitations or downloads; warn, suspend or close an Account; and preserve evidence or report to competent authorities where lawful or required. We consider the severity, credible risk, context, available evidence, rights of affected people, repeat conduct and less restrictive measures. A report does not automatically establish wrongdoing. We may act without advance notice where urgency, legal restrictions or risk of evidence destruction requires it.

We aim to give the affected user a meaningful reason for a restriction and a way to challenge it, unless that would be unlawful, reveal protected information or undermine safety or an investigation. Reply to info@photodexapp.com with the decision reference and relevant explanation. A different reviewer should reconsider serious disputed decisions where practicable. We may tell a reporter the outcome in general terms without revealing another person's private data. These operational channels, records and responsibilities must be implemented before publication.

3. Evidence and confidentiality

Access to reports and retained evidence should be limited to people who need it. We may retain a proportionate record of the report, decision and appeal to meet legal duties, prevent repeated abuse and resolve disputes; the precise schedule is set out in the Privacy Policy when confirmed. An Account deletion request does not necessarily erase evidence we lawfully need to retain. We do not promise that copies already downloaded or shared beyond Photodex can be removed.

4. Lawful requests

We assess requests from police, courts and regulators for legal validity and scope, disclose only what is appropriate, and preserve material when lawfully required. We may make a report to a competent authority where we believe a serious offence or immediate risk warrants it. We will not notify a user if prohibited or if notice would endanger someone or compromise an investigation. This Policy does not create a general obligation to monitor every private Photo.
