Copyright & Takedown Policy
Photographers and other rights holders retain their rights. An Album Owner does not automatically own a member's photographs. Photodex receives only the service licence described in the Terms. This is a UK-oriented notice and review procedure, not a claim that US DMCA formalities are required.
1. Sending a notice
Send a claim to info@photodexapp.com with: your name and a reply address; the work and rights you claim; the Album or Public Link URL and enough detail to locate the material; why the use is unauthorised; whether you act for the rights holder; and a statement that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Please do not send passwords or sensitive identity documents in an ordinary email. If the material is private and you cannot access it, provide what you know and we will assess a proportionate search. We may ask for clarification or evidence of authority. A privacy or intimate-image complaint may be made through the moderation route without asserting copyright.
2. Review and action
We will acknowledge and assess sufficiently specific notices within a reasonable time, considering ownership, licences, exceptions, context and countervailing rights. We may temporarily restrict access while investigating, remove a Photo or link, ask the uploader for information, or decline an unsupported claim with an explanation where appropriate. Serious or time-critical unlawful content may be restricted immediately. We may retain limited evidence and records where necessary for disputes, legal obligations or safety. Removing a Photo from Photodex cannot delete copies already downloaded or shared elsewhere.
3. Uploader response and repeat infringement
Where appropriate and lawful, we will tell the uploader the substance of a claim and provide a route to explain their rights, permission or applicable exception. We may restore Content if a claim is withdrawn or not substantiated. We may suspend repeated or serious infringers proportionately. Knowingly false or abusive notices may themselves breach the Terms and can create legal exposure. If you disagree with our decision, reply with the reference we give you; we will review a reasoned challenge. We cannot finally decide a contested copyright title: the parties may need independent advice or a court decision.
4. Other rights and emergencies
For child sexual abuse material, intimate-image abuse, immediate danger, harassment or unlawful disclosure of personal information, use the Community and Moderation reporting route and mark the concern urgent. Do not attach or forward unlawful images. Contact the police or emergency services where someone is at immediate risk. Our Privacy Policy explains processing of notices, uploader details and retained evidence.
